Cheng Gao

Digital Scholarship Fellow

Cheng Gao got her B.S in Computer Science from Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) and M.S. in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) respectively in 2005 and 2009. After her graduation from BUPT, she moved to Netherlands and now lives in Delft. Since September 2009, she joins Virtual Knowledge Studio as a Scientific Programmer for the development of CatVis in the VKS project Knowledge Space Lab.

From March,2007, she joined CeDInt Lab (Universidad Polit├ęcnica de Madrid, Spain) for 6 months to develop a multi-agent ambient system based on JADE (Java Agent Development Framework) using JAVA in Eclipse. Then she worked as internship in NTT Service Integration Laboratory( NTT, Tokyo, Japan) in 2008 to analyse the routing performance of the SIP signal and completed the SIP information simulation in OPNET12.0. After her back from NTT, she participated in the research project sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China in Network Information Center (BUPT, Beijing, China). During this project, a novel network model was proposed to guarantee the QoS over heterogeneous network using Flow Label and simulated the proposed model in OPNET. This research outcome is the main part of her M.S. thesis titled “The Application of Flow Label in QoS Management for Next Generation Network”.
