Projects
Alfalab
2009-2011
Alfalab is a joint project by five institutes of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). In this project the foundation will be laid for the Humanities of the future through building a digital research infrastructure. Alfalab aims to unite digital sources and tools for analysis, in order to ease the use of the web for Humanities researchers.
Humanities Information Practices
2010
Humanities Information Practices is a RIN funded study which aims to develop a sense of the range of information behaviours in the humanities; it is a collaborative project of Oxford Internet Institute, University College London and Virtual Knowledge studio. Through case studies, observations and interviews, this study will aim to understand how humanities scholars appropriate both analogue and digital resources in their work. It will highlight issues in the current information environment which affect user information seeking behaviour in the humanities.
